Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Web of Words Inc. collects when you take The Brand Mirror quiz and purchase a reading, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to delete it. As an Ontario-based business, we handle your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which governs private-sector businesses in Ontario since the province does not have its own general private-sector privacy law.

When you take the quiz and purchase a reading, we collect:

• Birth data — your date, time, and place of birth, used only to calculate your Human Design and astrology chart;
• Quiz answers — your responses to the reflection questions that shape your written reading;
• Contact information — your name and email address, used to deliver your reading and receipt;
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and basic transaction details (amount, date); we never see or store your full card number.

We use this information to: generate your personalized chart and reading; deliver your reading and purchase receipt by email; provide customer support if you contact us; and, if you opt in at checkout, send you related emails (see below). We do not use your birth data or quiz answers for any purpose beyond generating your reading and improving the quiz experience in aggregate, anonymized form.

Your written reading is AI-generated, not individually written or reviewed by Carly. We use Google Gemini through Lovable AI to combine your calculated chart placements with your own answers and our reading framework. Astrology placements are calculated within our application, rather than sent to a separate astrology provider. If chart data is unavailable, the reading may rely on your quiz answers and will identify missing chart information rather than invent it.

Birth details and personal stories can be sensitive. Please do not include financial account details, government identification numbers, or private information about other people in your answers. Only share personal context you are comfortable having processed to create your reading.

We don't sell your information. We do share limited information with the service providers that make The Brand Mirror work:

These services process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Processing may take place outside Canada, where different privacy laws may apply. Contact us if you have questions about a provider or how your information is handled.

If you check the opt-in box at checkout, we'll add you to our "Brand Mirror Buyers" list in Flodesk to send occasional emails about new offerings, brand insights, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email — this won't affect your access to your reading.

We retain your reading, quiz answers, and account information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our own legal and tax record-keeping obligations (generally up to 7 years for financial records, as required under Canadian tax law), or until you request deletion, whichever is applicable. Birth data used only to calculate a chart is not retained any longer than necessary to generate and store your reading.

We treat your date, time, and place of birth as sensitive personal data. This information is used solely to calculate your Human Design and astrology chart and generate your personalised reading. Your birth data and calculated chart — including your Human Design type, profile, authority, Incarnation Cross, gates, channels, and astrology placements — are stored securely and are never sold, shared for marketing purposes, or used for any purpose beyond delivering your reading. You may request deletion of your birth data and chart information at any time by emailing hello@webofwords.ca with the subject line "Data Request."

You can ask us, at any time, to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To do so, email hello@webofwords.ca with the subject line "Data Request" from the email address associated with your purchase. We'll confirm your request and complete it within 30 days. Note that deleting your data means we can no longer retrieve or regenerate your reading for you.

Our website and quiz platform may use basic cookies and analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages lead to a completed quiz) and to keep your quiz session active while you complete it. These do not include sensitive personal information beyond what's described above.

The Brand Mirror is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy as our tools and providers change. The version posted at thebrandmirror.com at the time of your purchase applies to you, and material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

All Brand Mirror purchases are final. Due to the personalised and immediately delivered nature of the reading — which is generated uniquely for you and delivered at the time of purchase — we are unable to offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue that prevented you from receiving your reading, please contact us at hello@webofwords.ca and we will do our best to resolve it.
